Your first time in Greece, it’s important to truly take it all in from living like Cesar in the ancient ruins or soaking in the sun on the beautiful beaches.

An elevated view of the Aegean Sea, with a large white cruise ship sailing across the deep blue water, leaving a wake behind it. In the foreground, the iconic white-washed architecture of Santorini, Greece, is visible, including a prominent church with a vibrant blue dome and a traditional bell tower with a light pink hue. Distant islands or land masses are visible on the horizon under a clear sky.

Santorini

Known for the iconic houses on the edges of cliffs that plunge deep into the Aegean Sea, Santorini has so much to offer. The island chain was formed from ancient volcanic eruptions, which caused the island's center to sink, leaving the croissant-shaped island.

A panoramic view captures the stunning caldera of Fira, Santorini, at sunset or sunrise. In the foreground, a prominent white bell tower stands on a rooftop, overlooking the deep blue Aegean Sea. White-washed buildings with hints of pink and orange roofs cling to the dramatic cliffside, cascading down towards the water. Several small boats dot the sea, and distant volcanic islands or landmasses are visible on the horizon under a sky with soft, colorful clouds.
Fira

Fira

As the southernmost island in the Cyclades, Santorini can keep you busy for weeks if you let it. The island's capital is Fira. It is known for its markets, shops, bars, in restaurants. Take a walk down the narrow streets to some of the most beautiful views.

An elevated wide shot captures a serene landscape from Imerovigli, Santorini, overlooking the Aegean Sea. In the foreground, dry, rocky terrain and some green shrubs lead down a cliff. A classic white-washed building with a blue dome and a small bell tower is perched on the cliff edge. The vast, calm blue sea extends to the horizon, with distant landmasses visible under a clear, hazy blue sky.
Imerovigli

Imerovigli

Just a short trek from Fira is Imerovigli, an adorable residential town that is the highest town on Santorini. This small town gives you a taste of day-to-day life in Greece. Next, I recommend taking the hike across a narrow pass to Skaros Castelli. This castle is believed to be the oldest remains on the island.

An breathtaking elevated panoramic shot captures the iconic cliffside village of Oia, Santorini, Greece, at sunset or sunrise. White-washed buildings with glowing lights cascade down the steep volcanic cliffs towards the deep blue caldera. The sky is ablaze with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple clouds. In the foreground, a winding path is visible, and boats are dotted across the calm sea. Distant landforms frame the vast expanse of water.
Oia

Oia

Arguably one of the most beautiful cities on Santorini is Oia. The streets are lined with galleries, arts, and other handmade goods. There are beautiful sunsets and breathtaking views of the seas from the road. Spend the day walking around and taking in the sites, smells, and tastes of this cliffside villa.
